As with other creative conservation workshops held in the past, the intention is to develop a 'Creative Conservation' workshop to follow the 2022 workshop. This will take place as part of the HeriCC | Heritage, Conservation and Creativity: Cultural Heritage in Transformation International Conference on 9 October 2024. Its objectives will be:

  • Familiarise participants with the concept of Creative Conservation through the use of photo-elicitation;

  • Address the advantages of Creative Conservation in promoting sustainable conservation practices;

  • Demonstrate how Creative Conservation relates to the history, theory and deontology of conservation and restoration;

  • Provide participants with the knowledge necessary to identify cases where the Creative Conservation methodology has been applied.

Audience: Cultural heritage professionals. Only for those who have not attended the previous workshop.
